Grow your own mistletoe from berries/seed
A sequence of photos showing mistletoe that has been
propagated by hand.
Mistletoe grows as a parasite so needs to be grown on another tree to
act as it's host. Mistletoe berries
were collected from branches of mature
mistletoe plants that had been blown down. (click pictures for full size

Mistletoe Balls growing in Poplar Trees
These mistletoe balls are very large - around 1m in diameter.

This photo was taken on a foggy day just before New Year 2009.
This mistletoe collection is growing a group of Poplar trees.
The mistletoe berries from branches that had been blown
down to the ground were collected.

The mistletoe seeds/berries were smeared on an old Apple tree.

The berries are very sticky - just press them onto a tree trunk or branch.
No need to slit or damage the bark - just pretend you are a bird wiping
it's beak!
